Rustic Ridge was founded in 1997 as a home goods store in the small mountain town of Whitefish, Montana by Mr. Pat Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan wanted to offer the good folks in Whitefish a premium retail experience. The store thrived, establishing a loyal clientèle with the motto “For the way you live” and focusing on exceptional quality merchandise and terrific customer service. Over time, the company grew, adding stores in several other Rocky Mountain communities and in the Upper Midwest. In 1999, after noticing that several luxury hotels and bed-and-breakfasts were buying pillows and comforters from the Rustic Ridge stores, the Rustic Ridge Hospitality Buying Group was formed to better serve independent hotels. Through the buying group, member hotels are able to purchase high quality hotel supplies at terrific prices made possible by the combined purchasing power of the buying group. In June of 2006, Mr. Sullivan took on business partners to operate the retail stores, allowing him to focus on the hospitality buying group which was reformed as the Rustic Ridge Pillow & Hospitality Supply Company, Inc., and has since grown to over 1,300 members. Today we operate three divisions, the hospitality buying group, this web site, and a consultant sales company which sells directly to customers at in-home parties.  Our headquarters are in Alexandria, Minnesota.
